College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia

About This Project

The College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia (CMTBC) is responsible for regulating massage therapists in BC. I have worked extensively with CMTBC on a number of projects, including:

  • Creating a technology plan that laid the groundwork for developing a new website, registrants’ portal, and other technology initiatives.
  • Writing a request for proposals for website and software development, and contributing to the evaluation process for selecting vendors.
  • After the launch of a new website, using the Drupal content management system to maintain content on the site.
  • Writing and editing three annual reports.
  • Maintaining an email newsletter.
  • Providing communications strategy.
  • Providing photography.

What CMTBC says about Chris Wong:

“Chris Wong has been a one-man communications department for us. He has not only written most of the news stories and public releases for our website but also serves as project manager for our annual reports and the de facto manager of our web communications. Chris was instrumental in the development of a request for proposals (RFP) for our new website design, and assisted us in evaluation of proposals and selection of a web design firm. He has worked with us to develop strategies to optimize our web communications and provides training to our staff on maintaining the website. Chris is remarkably responsive to our needs; we have relied on him for writing and editing tasks with indefensibly short deadlines, and he never fails to come through.” – Susan Addario, Former Registrar & CEO, College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia
